Dr. Ido Hadar is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Institute of Chemistry, The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, and the Casali Center for Applied Chemistry of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemistry and Physics, as well as his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Upon graduating, he was awarded a Postdoctoral scholarship for excellent researchers by the Israeli Ministry of Energy, and joined Prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis’s group at Northwestern University, where he studied novel materials for solar cells and high-energy radiation detectors. In 2020, Dr. Hadar established his independent lab at the Hebrew University. His research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of novel semiconductors with soft crystal lattice for various optoelectronic applications. Dr. Hadar was awarded the Samson – Prime Minister’s prize for innovation in alternative energy and smart mobility for transportation
