Dr. Anna Libman is a researcher in Prof. Doron Pappo’s group at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ben-Gurion University, completing her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Doron Pappo on metal-catalyzed oxidative macrocyclization of phenol containing peptides.
She subsequently conducted postdoctoral research with Prof. László Kürti at Rice University in Houston, Texas, focusing on the development of synthetic methodologies for nitrogen containing compounds. Her current research in the Pappo group focuses on mechanistic studies of metal-catalyzed oxidative coupling of phenols, exploring the factors that govern reaction selectivity.
